Why do you want to join Optima?:Since the launch of WOTLK, PvE has become ever more attractive. I've gone through a string of rag-tag PuGs and feel like it's time to go for something a bit more organized and successful. An added bonus is that my girlfriend is at work the nights Optima will be raiding so I it suits me to be playing at these times.

Race: Night Elf
Class: Rogue
Role in Raid: I can offer pure DPS. Other than Master Poisoner (Assasination) or Savage Combat (Combat) I won't be bringing any raid buffs. My DPS will pull my weight, and then some.
Explain your spec choice in detail: My experience in raiding has been as the standard rogue Mutilate Spec. (51/13/7). The advantages are obvious: the Duel Wield Specialization is an obvious bonus when running as Mutilate. 5/5 Precision brings me up to the soft hit cap. ^^
This said, Combat spec is something I wish to play with in the near future. With its buffs in patch 3.1, it is very tempting.

Raid Experience: Please keep in mind that up until now I have only had access to PuGs and invites to guild runs from friends.
Naxx 25 man - Arachnid, Plague and Military quarters downed.
Vault of Archavon - Emalon cleared in both 10 and 25 man.
Ulduar - Flame Leviathan in both 10 and 25 man.
Eye of Eternity - Cleared on 10 man only.
Obsidium Sanctum - Full Clear on 10 and 25 man. Completed +1 drake on 10 man.

Tell us about yourself:My name is Mike. I'm 18 years old and live in Northern Ireland. I've just finished my A-levels in Maths, Chemistry and Physics. Come September, I will be going to University to study Computer Science.
When not studying, I love to play WoW. Up until now I've been particularly interested in the PvP side of the game and very much enjoying arena.
I'm also very interested in web design and coding. I'm fluent in HTML, CSS and PHP.
Another interest I have is music, enjoying particularly music from bands such as NOFX, Less than Jake and Say Anything. I'm also quite partial to a bit of good ole' Tupac or Snopp Dogg. :>
Apart from that, I spend the rest of my time with my wonderful girlfriend (she plays as a druid called Nyxi on our realm too ^^).
I'd like to point out that I know my class very well. I will be able to squeeze every bit of DPS out of what I have available. Additionally, if you plan on checking me out on be.imba.hu, that currently has my PvP gear cached and it doesn't like PvP enchants. I'll force an update as soon as it allows me.
